10 reason why manual camera are great for learning.

untitled
I got this link from Film Photography Podcast on facebook. Awhile everyone will have their own opinion, I think that manual camera are great for learning photography. From personal experience, when I first got my manual camera, I had trouble loading the film correctly and getting the correct shutter speed and aperture setting right. My first rolls weren’t great, but it was an awesome learning experience. With digital, it just finding the right settings by press a few buttons and your are ready to take pictures. At the end, you probably don’t have no clue on what going on with your photo whether it turns out bad or good. In today world, everyone turn to photoshop.

  1. Digital cameras “could” be good for learning, if one actually pays attention to the instant result. But since it’s so easy instead of paying attention to the results, they just take 100 photos of the same darn thing. What a shame. It’s a lot easier to learn about DOF on digital than film, well, faster i supposed, not easier.

    However, film rules!
